History

The LaenneXT concept sprang from the collaboration between doctors, patients and their families who were willing to have (use) a remote-controlled monitoring device based on auscultation, easy to use and exhaustive, and thus created a company in 2000 which they named "Laennext" as a token to the French inventor of auscultation, Doctor Laennec. (Hôpital Necker 1816, Paris).

Thanks to their passion for auscultation and their ambition, the company's creators were soon supported by the biggest worldwide specialists of auscultation.

The Laennext team solicited (called in) signal treatment and IT engineers in order to implement algorithms which are used today by our system. After four years of research and development, Laennext has developed a brand new service, thus rewarding the increasing efforts of an ever-growing human ambition within the team.

Laennext was then granted important funds, particularly by Republic Alley. The recruiting of several engineers, the setting up of five departments, and the definition of organizational and executive procedures enabled Laennext's future to be consolidated.

A strong synergy with important actors of the medical and the telecom market (Alcatel) as well as the support of very active patient associations have resulted in the launching of the first objective auscultation service in September 2007. The diversification of the company's activities and its strong will to federate all of the initiatives related to auscultation are the sure ay towards a highly promising future full of challenges.
